It's The Little Things That Bring You Sunshine

Ron and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend which included getting a car seat put into Ron's car by an "expert" and picking out some wooden letters to paint and hang in Stella's room and we topped it off by using a GroupOn gift certificate to try a new breakfast place for Sunday brunch called "Slappy Cakes"! It was a wonderful experience and it wasn't just the cool setup where griddles are inserted into each table so that you can make your own pancakes! The place is ridiculously family friendly and aside from the cool pancakes made with squeeze batter in squeeze bottles, their "regular" food is smashing and unique but I divert from what made my day.

I experienced for the 1st time stranger kindness toward my pregnancy ....we put our name on a list which had an approx. 45-1hr wait and within the 1st 10 minutes I had two ppl offer me chairs to sit down. One look at my big ole preg tummy and there was no questioning whether I was just wearing a big ole muffin top. There for was a baby in there! :)  Funny how something so simple at 38 wks can bring a smile.
We even captured it in a picture.

Stella is doing wonderful. I feel her move a lot more and Tuesday we have a routine scheduled ultrasound which Ron's boss is letting him come in late to go to. He missed the last one so he's super excited. I also just found out today that my neighbor, Serena who was due on the same day as I am had her baby lil baby boy Oliver 10 days ago! She was on bed rest since 7.5 months ... dang, I've been so lucky.
