Time is flying by ...even though I'm working from home with very little "work" actually being done (A BIG thank you to my colleagues for handling most issues) I find the day is half gone before I know it. Ron and I had tried to put back in the car seat in his car but to avail ...we both forgot how the latch fit on and we weren't comfortable so I took another trip out the children's store which is located very far away from our house but they offer free car seat install to have them give us a peace of mind. Having Ron's car I promised to wash it so Stella could come home in a clean car (so very important to her you know ;) hahaha! While there I had a little bit of a wait so I HAD to shop in their store and ended up buying 3 wonderful items. Here is a picture: brown organic small baby doll, baby photo album which multiple mom friends of mine recently recommended saying that their daughters loved looking at pics of family members and a new nightlight which turns off/on compared to the brilliant one I had picked up previously. The cool thing about nightlight - shaped like a star and that is what Stella means, "Bright Star" so it was meant to be is what Ron and I thought!!!!!!!!!

The children's store also happened to be a few doors down from a fabulous bakery in Beaverton and with Ron's birthday tomorrow (19th) I was again lucky to find they had 1 of his favorite cake, German Chocolate and they wrote Happy Bday on it for me. Funny thing is that I had to wrap it in 2 plastic bags and put it in the fridge with a note taped to it saying "DO NOT LOOK NOR OPEN" so that Ron would be surprised.
Took myself to a buffet lunch as I had a very light breakfast and was ready to eat my arm off when I was done with car seat. That equates to buffet lunch to me! Izzy's was ready for me and with baby so low, I still don't think I eat that much as I don't have room to go crazy. I was too full to think about dessert until I walked by the dessert area on my way to bathroom ...that is when I decided a paper towel would hold at least 4-5 mini white chocolate mac. cookies and then I thought I was really losing it when the mini pineapple upside down cake was jumping out to me and I thought a silent wish that I had a tupperware container in my purse. TIME TO GO! I left with no cake but several cookies which I still haven't had one because I seem to crave salads/hearty food rather than sweets lately.

My Godmother, Jane whom I haven't heard from in a very long time sent the most loving gift of two new, large blankets which she made for Baby Stella as soon as she heard I was expecting! They arrived in mail yesterday and I was so happy to open the gift. One was a solid violet colored blanket and the other was a sweet turquoise color with sheep on it. Here is a picture.
Made it to my last swim class and the inspirational looks from ladies early in their pregnancy felt good! If you go past your due date you get to come to class for free but that won't be me. It isn't till I try to do something that really hasn't posed to be a problem until now that I realize, DANG she is low. I sat down on locker room bench to put on undies and couldn't cross my legs. Thank goodness I was in a room full of preggie ladies and all I could was laugh and work with how best to do it. I swear I'm the only one proud enough of my baby to show my stretchmarks, even in the locker room. My observation is either your a bikini wearing fool or your 1 pc never comes off. I haven't worn my bikini to class (keep that zebra stripped baby in the drawer) BUT my attitude is who cares - we all will have them some day and I take care of getting dressed and such with focus on covering my baby stretch marks. Look or don't look. I dont' care.
I also finished Stella Ruth's scrapbook bringing it up-to-date with what stuff we have. I took a few pics because don't be fooled people ...scrapbooking is no joke. It seems to take FOREVER to do a page or two and I know that I am on the "not very creative" end and I purposely don't include camera pictures but all other items which we've saved from the pregnancy so far including our tons of ultrasound pics. No matter - I love it and am very happy to have seized the time to make this for our family to look back on it someday!
